Bardarski Geran: the village of the Banat Bulgarians
By Eli Ivanova, en.drumivdumi.com
On the last day of this August, I have the chance to visit the village of Bardarski Geran in Northwestern Bulgaria. Although I did not have much time available there, I am glad that I was able to feel the atmosphere in the village and the lifestyle of the descendants of the Banat Bulgarians. Their ancestors decided to return to Bulgaria after the Liberation to start a new life in their native land.
The village is interesting for its straight streets, which form a kind of a grid, and many of the houses keep their old architecture. There are also two Catholic churches in the village. See more information about the village of Bardarski Geran here.
On a tour around Barcelona – the charming coast of Costa Brava
There are many options for a day trip from Barcelona. One of them is a visit to the Costa Brava coastal region. The exotic coastline, located on the border with France, offers a nice climate, nature and excellent beaches. Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar are small picturesque resort villages on the Mediterranean coast. With their charm, they are the ideal place for a summer holiday, but also for a day trip from Barcelona. That’s what makes the Costa Brava so attractive for locals and tourists to come here.
