Seceda – Travel Guide, Hiking Routes and Useful Tips
When I first found myself on Seceda in the Dolomites, I couldn’t believe how breathtaking everything around me was. Far more majestic than any photograph I had seen before. The mountain ridges propping up the fluffy clouds, the sunlight shining from behind them and reflecting off the rocks, and the view towards Odle and Sella… all of it makes you simply stop and fall into quiet contemplation.
In this article, I’ll tell you all about two of my favorite trails that start from the summit. The short but impressive Seceda Ridgeline Trail is perfect for a quick walk and plenty of photos. The longer panoramic circular hike through Pieralongia and Rifugio Firenze offers a true immersion into the alpine magic.
Along with detailed descriptions of the routes, I’ll also share a few useful tips that will make your experience easy and unforgettable.

Top things to do in Messina: the gateway to Sicily
Messina was my first stop on the fifth day of my trip around Sicily. The city welcomed me with the beautiful monument of the Virgin Mary in the harbor and a huge cruise ship. Later, I learned that Messina is one of the main stops for cruise ships in the Mediterranean. My second impression of the city was its hilly location and the significant difference in height between its low-lying part on the seashore and the high-rise districts in the interior.
However, after seeing the cathedral in the historic center, it stood out above everything with its enormous size and beautiful bell tower. There, in front of it, I witnessed an interesting concert, which, it turned out, takes place every day at exactly 12:00 noon – the gilded bronze statues on one of the bell tower balconies rotate for 12 minutes to the sounds of Schubert’s „Ave Maria“.

The „Pesako“ eco trail in Borovets – a pleasant walk in the Rila Mountains
The „Pesako“ eco trail is our new suggestion for a pleasant walk — this time in Borovets. The path is flat and takes about 15–20 minutes one way, making it suitable for both children and adults. We recommend visiting in the evening, when the trail is beautifully illuminated by numerous lights, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Along the way, you’ll find several gazebos, perfect for a short rest. And for those who prefer a bit more activity, there are outdoor fitness stations at several points along the route.

Church of Christ Pantokrator in the Ancient Town of Nessebar – an emblem of a lost world
In the very center of Old Nessebar, where centuries have woven their stories into narrow cobblestone streets, rises a temple built in praise of the Almighty of the Universe – the Lord Jesus Christ!
Created during the golden years of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, the Nessebar Church of Christ Pantocrator is an exquisite masterpiece of Bulgarian cultural heritage.
Its amazing facade is like embroidered lace – alternating belts of white carved stone and red bricks create a feeling of ethereal lightness and unique grace.
The high double-recessed arches, the characteristic decoration of ceramic bowls and quatrefoils and the unique frieze of solar symbols above the apses sing songs of impressive craftsmanship.
Do you feel the power of faith that inspired its creation?
Do you feel its resilience, through which it has passed through centuries of trials?
Let my post be your guide on a fiery journey beyond the visible!
