Kopren waterfalls

The Kopren waterfalls are located in the Western Balkan Mountains at an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level, at the foot of the nearby border peak Kopren, hence their name. There are three main waterfalls: the Lanzhin Leap, the Durshin Leap and the Water Leap. They used to be part of the Kopren eco-trail route, which is no longer maintained. Therefore, the approach to each of the waterfalls is different.

What to see around Provadia?

Provadia is a town with thousands of years of history and is one of the oldest in Northeastern Bulgaria. 7,000 years ago the inhabitants mined and traded salt in its vicinity, making it the oldest salt mining centre in Europe. Later, the medieval fortress of Oveč was built on the plateau above the town. Its history began with the Thracians, passing through the Romans, Byzantines, Bulgarians and Turks. Neptune – Polanski’s galleon

Genoa’s history has been linked for centuries to its international port, through which goods, people and ideas passed, creating an exciting mix of cultures and ethnicities. The Old Port is one of the most memorable sights, a place with history and layers. Here, along with modern attractions such as the Aquarium, the Biosphere and Bigo, there are also those that have the ability to take us centuries back in time.

Anchored between the present and the past, this sixty-three meter long medieval ship near the Aquarium is almost impossible to miss. The galleon is permanently docked there, proudly displaying its majesty. This is Neptune, a cinematic artifact from Roman Polanski’s 1986 film Pirates.

The ship born as a film set is a magnificent piece of cinema history. Designed and built specifically for the movie Pirates, then in 2011 it also served as a set for Captain Hook in the TV miniseries Neverland. A real attraction for the thousands of visitors who are curious to discover the film sets and the magnificent construction of the historic ship.
