Three days Venice, canals and contrasts

In the past ten years, I have visited Venice many times, but always just for a day and for work. Last year, we celebrated my mother’s anniversary, and she wished to one day visit the Italian Serenissima. A few months later, we had our bags packed and on a cold morning in Sofia, we were standing in front of the plane, ready for the adventure that the whole family had been eagerly anticipating. Behind the scenes – scenes from Montepucciano

Montepulciano and its charming alleyways are best explored by walking around town on your own. Particularly impressive are the historic city buildings and palaces that alternate on the medieval squares. The feel is quintessentially Italian with old houses, tiled roofs and lots of colorful apets and vespas parked on every corner. In fact, the city is almost unchanged from the Middle Ages to the present, and it is no wonder that it is the stage for many film productions without sets and extras. For movie buffs – Montepulciano has been the setting for many films, the most recognizable being Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1999), Medici“ (2019) and „Benedetta“ (2021).

The „View of Nine Mountains“ eco-trail and Sirishtnishka Rudina peak
